Project representation
Relations and cooperation with neighbouring countries are an essential element ofSerbia's EU accession process. Hundreds of projects have been implemented on bothsides of the border for years, and in addition to infrastructural development, ideasrelated to almost all segments of community life could be realized with the help of EUfunding. The project that is at its beginning (HUSRB/1903/33/0112 Etnolife -Youthtraditions) came about due to the support from the Interreg-IPA Cross-borderCooperation programme Hungary-Serbia. The Lead beneficiary of the project is EtnolifeAssociation from Subotica, and Beneficiary 1 is the Youth organisation of Dél Alföld fromBordány.The aim of the project was to research, nurture and present the material and intellectualvalues of the traditional cultures of the Dél Alföld region. During the 18-month project,both partners will renovate a grange each, organize traditional and creative camps foryoung people. The project will also support the organization of a youth festival,procurement of electronics, sound systems, energy equipment, large event tents andgarden furniture. The focus is on the youth, who will face a number of environmental,energy, communication and social challenges in the future, and we hope that thebenefits and experience gained through this project will help them choose the right pathand make the right decisions.
