The project opening conference was held in Subotica on June 10, 2022 in Subotica at the headquarters of the Association of Professional Societies and Associations in Matija Korvin street no. 9. After registration, everyone entered the conference room. The participants were greeted by Istvan Hulo, president of the Etnolife Association, and then David Preda, project manager of the Youth organisation of Dél Alföld from Bordány.Representatives of the two associations presented the plan of the project Young people follow the tradition funded by the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia. Partners from Serbia and Hungary presented their own activities in detail. After that, the attendees could listen to six lectures.The first was held by dr Léda Silling: The role of ethno houses in communities, and she was followed by Vinkó Tamás, environmental protection engineer who talked about the natural resources in the lecture named Presentation of the Ludaš Nature Reserve.After that Izabel Lányi Hnis, tourismologist got the floor who introduced the diverse and valuable tourist offer of the region through the following lecture: Tourist offer of the region from the aspect of today.After her, Nikolett Hosszú, economy student talked about organisation of the Róka Youth Festival, and how cultural heritage can be preserved, the title of his presentation: The young people follow the traditions: Róka Fest.Alexander Ládi, IT engineer was the next lecturer and his presentation was named Renewable energy sources, the challenge of our time.At the very end, Sinita Béres, pedagogue, closed the series with a very interesting and exciting lecture: Youth and nurturing tradition.After the discussion, the attendees were invited to a reception where refreshments and lunch were served. During lunch, they took part in informal conversations and got to know each other better.
